Operation Humanity is a provincial movement of student leaders who are ready to take a stand against human rights violations, environmental irresponsibility and poverty. Members promote public awareness and understanding of global issues through the organization of various events and activities throughout the province. It is a completely student-run project funded by members and donors.
Started in Summer 2009, Operation Humanity is building a foundation Ontario students can look to for support in their endeavours within their own schools. Many members of Operation Humanity are already active in their school and community. The "Peace Forum" allows students to discuss pressing issues, share ideas of past events and learn from peers.
Operation Humanity is also proud to be hosting meetings on a monthly basis. They are supported by the Durham District School Board and the Durham District School Board's Student Senate as partner organizations.
